Qualifications/Skills:
Vocational Agriculture Teacher

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in agriculture education or agricultural science. Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with an Endorsement in Agriculture.
Valid New Mexico teaching certificate or the ability to obtain certification..

Ability to plan and teach shop and agriculture CTE course work to Junior High and High School level students.
Experience in agriculture or agriculture education and/or manufacturing and trades is preferred
Project planning and management experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

The Agricultural Mechanics/Woodworking Secondary Teacher will be responsible for teaching students in grades 7-12 the fundamental concepts, techniques, and practices of agricultural mechanics, woodworking, and related skills. The teacher will foster a learning environment that promotes hands-on learning, critical thinking, and creativity, preparing students for careers in agriculture, mechanics, construction, or woodworking trades.
